A WORD FROM
THE PRESIDENT
The CyberLock team is excited to return to Las Vegas in March for ISC West 2022. After taking home a New Product Showcase award last July, we have high expectations for each of the three products we’ll be unveiling this month. I personally can’t wait for our resellers to try out the new features in CyberAudit-Web 9.5. And our latest hardware releases solidify CyberLock as one of the most versatile access control systems on the market. I’m looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces as we kick off our 2022 tradeshow season!

VALIDIKEY
RING
The ValidiKey Ring is an optional addition to the ValidiKey Vault that is designed to bring key management to mechanical keys. ValidiKey Ring has the form factor of a CyberKey tip, with an attached keyring for mechanical keys. The ValidiKey Ring allows users to check out mechanical keys from a ValidiKey vault, in addition to CyberKeys.

Rings are tracked just like CyberKeys. They let administrators know who checked them out and when they returned them. Email notifications can be sent out to users when a ValidiKey Ring is not returned within a dedicated time frame.

Find out more about the ValidiKey Ring by contacting a sales representative today.

TECH
TIPS
Technical Tip from Tech Support
A friendly reminder regarding 1st and 2nd generation key compatibility with Flex system modules:
The Flex I modules are compatible with the Flex II system
The 1st generation WR Vault is compatible with 1st generation Cyberkeys, however it is not compatible with 2nd generation CyberKeys
The 2nd generation WR Vault is compatible with both 1st and 2nd generation CyberKeys

In CyberAudit-Web, the software administrator “Groups” modules that they want to work together. A user checks out a 2nd generation key, the system may prompt the user to return the key to a 1st generation vault. The key will not fit in the 1st generation vault. The software cannot determine whether a vault is 1st or 2nd generation, therefore the easiest way to alleviate issues is to ensure software administrators are trained to group 1st generation keys with 1st generation vaults. And with 2nd generation vaults separately.
